More on WHO to look for...
Who is the next person you know who is doing your job and would love to move into the area you want to move into too?
Who is the next person you know whose certs are moving down in value and are finding the task of keeping up not too big?
Who is the next person you know who has a family that is expanding and is ready to move to a bigger income and home?
Who is the next person you know who lives in a neighborhood that is no longer right and upgrading to a better location?

More on WHAT to look for...
What is the RESULT you are after? What HAVE you been doing and what is still MISSING? You NOW know WHAT you are looking for.
This is a key part of the power of role modeling that was lost with the break up of the family unit and industrialization and fortunately has been re-discovered although the the method of accessing it has changed.
Before industrialization the family provided the role modelling environment for the newborn to follow. It was common for son to follow father to follow his father to follow his father in the family business or family profession, trade or craft.
NOW these ties have been lost leaving each member to make it alone... an island in a vast sea.
So role modeling is a skill that is no longer automatic and one you now need to learn that includes knowing what result you want, who to model and what to look for ..
Now that you know WHAT you are looking for you can home in on THOSE aspects of your role model and CHANGE your APPROACH with CLARITY, CONFIDENCE and CERTAINTY.

GLUE yourself to SUCCESS
To be a success you need to hang around success...
Unfortunately it does NOT work through
passive distant osmosis but through close immediate active interaction.
Role models need to be here and now
doing what you want to be doing now (or in the very near future) so you can leverage their success as they are succeeding in it right before your very eyes.
Times change fast.. so the person who is no longer active... or is someone who last did a skill six years ago is not the best role for you to model now.
You must be current.
Who is the next person you know that is
If this is a Candidate Role Model
is an active task that glues you to success that is performed in the here and now.... so hurry.. get started this minute with the next person around you now... it may not be too late.

Who is the next person you know that is
- about to look for their next contract
- increasing their rate
- shifting into ground-floor leading edge you would die for
If this is a Candidate Role Model
- Strike up a friendship with this person
- Find out what they are doing that you are NOT
Do they get more interviewsRole modelling
Do their resumes land and stick where yours slides in the bin
Do they hold interviewers attention while yours have to stifle a yawn
Do their contracts get extended while yours don't
Do they get longer contracts while yours are always short
is an active task that glues you to success that is performed in the here and now.... so hurry.. get started this minute with the next person around you now... it may not be too late.
